My New Favourite Girls Pyjamas

My eldest starting secondary school last week seems to have brought on a fit of sentimentality on my behalf.

Let’s be clear, when you’re in the throws of toddlerdum grandparents constantly twittering on about ‘enjoying every minute because they grow up so fast’ makes you frankly want to punch them in the face. However, confronted with an empty car seat everyday because they’ve taken themselves to school makes you wonder if perhaps they might have had a point.

This weekend in search of some much needed retail therapy good old M&S came to my rescue with the perfect pair of traditional, super girly, look way more expensive than they are pyjamas. They tick all the right boxes with frills galore even ’round the waist band, and the pattern is the sort of ditsy floral which bears more than a striking resemblance to a certain London haberdashery department.

I was also thrilled to discover they’re available up to age 15-16.

Now just to persuade the holographic iridescent obsessed tween that it’s cool to dress for bed like Princess Charlotte 😉
