January Sales - The Interiors Edit
We’re back in London after spending Christmas at my parents and I’m in a full blown tidying frenzy. I would imagine I am not the only person currently in this ‘state’ so I did think that later in the month I might do a series of posts on storage and organising. If someone would like to send me a post about how to get an eight year old boy to write his thank you letters I would be much obliged.
On to the matter currently at hand – The Sales. If you’re clever this is a really great opportunity to invest in some timeless pieces at a more affordable price. In that sense interiors are no different to clothes. If you’ve long admired a piece but it’s been out of your budget then remember to check back to see if it’s now been discounted. You may assume that the real classics will always be full price when in fact stores are offering a discount. A perfect example being the Mantis BS3 lamp which I have been coveting for as long as I can remember. Most stores are selling it at full price but, as a consequence of my extensive trawling, I have discovered that Smallable are offering 20% off!
Below is my edit of my favourite finds in the sales. Some pieces you’ve seen here before and some are new editions but in my opinion are all worthy of an investment. Remember don’t go crazy, Christmas is a flipping expensive business, but if you know you need to replace something or have your eye on a key piece now is the time to think about buying it.
Finally, they may not make for pretty pictures but always make sure you buy your duvets and pillows and all that sort of boring essential paraphernalia in the sale. You can’t go wrong with M&S and The White Company for classic no nonsense does what it says on the tin stuff. Oh and do you know of anyone who ever regretted buying a mattress topper? 😉

Available in seven different colours.
