The Interior Of The New Aesop Store in London Is Insane
Shop interiors can actually be a really inspiring space for me. Set designers and architects are cousins of the interior stylist so I always try to keep track of what they are doing. As such last week I decided to pop into the new Aesop store on Duke of York Square in London’s Chelsea.
Aesop are renowned for their beautiful stores, this we know, but this new space is NEXT LEVEL – more akin to shopping in a Brazilian modernist house.
Turns out that’s not too far off. Architects Snøhetta designed the interior in tribute to Brazilian modernist Oscar Niemeyer. Twelve pink clay arches fan out from the centre of a giant metal sink and brown corduroy chairs cluster in a corner.
It’s so worth going to take a look (and below I’ve suggested my favourite products to buy).
