Here's how I am wrapping up Christmas

This year, despite the riot of patterned paper, I am actually keeping the wrapping simple. I’ve found some beautiful floral sheets from Paper Tree Nook and I am not straying from her shop. These papers are incredibly intricate, in a heavy weight and have a beautiful vintage feel.

Clearly, if you’ve seen my Christmas table, I am in a maximalist mood right now and hey, this is the perfect time to flex that eccentric muscle. And if you spotted the place cards amidst the crackers you’ll also see that I am having quite the winning Etsy streak. For unique, handcrafted stationary, the site is my go-to.

Velvet ribbons in slate blue and burnt orange grosgrain are making me very happy looped around all that floral chintz. I wanted to add to the richness of the paper and the Meri Meri glitter alphabet letters make sure nothing gets too serious over here.

Come Christmas time I’ll steer clear of the themed penguin papers and dying fir trees taped to the front of gifts. I like my wrapping paper and ribbon to work a little harder, you know… they’re not just for Christmas…
