Clever Christmas Dressing
In the spirit of not buying things you don’t need and wading into some very un-HO-HO-HO debt this time of year, Christmas dressing is about shopping smart. It’s mixing your favourite jeans with new Christmas shoes and pairing a slinky party dress with your beloved chunky knitwear.
I really enjoy dressing up on Christmas day. It makes me feel like this isn’t a regular roast I am whipping up and gets me in a right festive mood. This year I am making my wardrobe season proof with pieces that I’ll wear well past the 25th. For me, that means carefully selecting items that can be dressed up or down easily. Accessories are my friend right now. A good bag and shoe goes a long way to updating an outfit or feeling like you’ve made an effort. And I can’t get enough of a big, slouchy men’s jumper to top off anything too glam.
So shop clever and steer clear of the lure of the spangly mini dress. Instead take some of these festive gems and style them with what’s already in your wardrobe.
