Black Accents In The Kitchen

I’ve had so many messages about my add a little black tip from my Remodelista feature last week. I thought I’d elaborate a little and focus particularly on kitchens. There’s no two ways about it, whatever the colour palette you’ve gone for, a bit of black in the mix just makes it look cool. Cool as in gives it a bit of an edge, stops it looking too pretty and matchy, gives it some weight and definition. No wonder black Crittal windows have become so popular.

I’m really not suggesting you have to go all morbid and go full on goth teenage bedroom. You may already have the odd black item in your cupboard.  Get it out and have it on display.

Below is a bit of inspiration and then my favourite products at the moment.

I’m a big fan of black lighting like this lamp from Cox and Cox, and these Habitat espresso cups look way more expensive than they are.
